Looking for a way to Occupy Our Food Supply on #F27 but can't make it to an event?
Occupy Cargill's phone lines! First, take a look at the hard facts on Cargill’s corporate takeover of the food system. Then, join hundreds of other people who are calling in to tell Cargill to stop destroying ecosystems and start respecting human rights. Check out our Occupy Cargill blog for a sample phone script.
If you can’t physically occupy a Cargill facility (see below), here is a quick and easy way to make a big difference just by picking up the phone. For more information on Cargill you can also check out our brand new factsheet. (links to PDF)
1) Call 1 800 CARGILL
2) Ask: “May I be connected to CEO Greg Page?” You will probably be forwarded to an operator or voicemail. Tell this employee you speak to that:
3) “As part of the global day of action to Occupy Our Food Supply, I am calling to demand that Cargill stop the corporate takeover of our food system and stop undermining local and justice food solutions. If you want to be proud of your company, then Cargill needs to stop destroying ecosystems and start respecting human rights. Thank you for sharing my message with CEO Greg Page. Thank you. Goodbye."
